Report claims Spurs could raise £82m in January by selling four first-team players

According to Football.London, Tottenham Hotspur could raise up to £82m during the January transfer window by selling four players who are surplus to requirements under Jose Mourinho.

Spurs have enjoyed a positive start to the season and the team looks capable of challenging on multiple fronts this season.

However, Mourinho admitted earlier this week that the squad still needed a few final touches in order to be considered complete.

Football.London now report that the Lilywhites could dip into the transfer market again in January to strengthen certain areas in which they are they are lacking quality.

However, it is suggested that the club might have to move a few players on in order to sign Mourinho’s targets due to the heavy outlay in the summer transfer window.

The report asserts that Dele Alli, Paulo Gazzaniga, Danny Rose and Lucas Moura could all be shipped out for a combined fee of over £80m, which could then be used to sign new players.

Spurs Web Opinion

Dele, Gazzaniga and Rose seem to be surplus to requirements and no Spurs fan would be surprised to see the trio leave in January if we were to get decent offers for them. However, it is clear that Moura is a favourite of Jose’s. I cannot see the Brazilian leaving at least until the end of the season. While the former PSG man is not everyone’s cup of tea, the Spurs boss clearly sees him as a great impact substitute to bring on when the opposition tires.
