Report claims Spurs dressing room is ‘split’ regarding Mourinho

The Athletic has claimed that the Tottenham Hotspur dressing room is split regarding Jose Mourinho.

The Tottenham boss looked a defeated man in his post-match interview following his side’s 3-1 defeat to Manchester United.

Son Heung-min and Joe Rodon also looked similarly disheartened after the game, which could suggest that the morale in the camp is pretty low at the moment.

There are some major question marks over Jose Mourinho’s future at the club, with Spurs now six points behind West Ham in fourth and out of the Europa League.

The Telegraph reported last week that some players in the Tottenham squad are ‘fed up’ with Mourinho for questioning their ability.

The Atheltic has now revealed that the Portuguese coach has lost some players but still retains the support of others. It is said that while some Tottenham players believe that they can win with the 58-year-old in charge, others are growing tired of his mind games.

What could work to Mourinho’s advantage and buy him some time in the job is that many of our better players seem to still retain faith in him.

Going by players’ body language, it appears as if the Spurs boss still has the support of the likes of Kane, Lloris, Son, Hojbjerg and Reguilon. However, it remains to be seen whether those players would still back him if our poor run of form continues.
