Report claims Spurs first-team player is ‘hell bent’ on leaving this summer

Harry Kane’s future at Tottenham Hotspur continues to be a hotly debated topic following the club’s failure to win the Carabao Cup.

Tottenham look set to fail to qualify for the Champions League for a second season in a row after being knocked out of the Europa League and currently find themselves five points behind fourth-placed Chelsea with just five games remaining.

Football Insider claim that a Tottenham insider has revealed that Harry Kane is ‘hell bent’ on leaving the club this summer.

The report suggests that the striker who turns 28 in July will seek a move to a Premier League rival such is his desire to remain in England to look to beat Alan Shearer’s top flight goalscoring record.

Kane revealed in an interview with Sky Sports earlier this week that his aim is to win the game’s biggest trophies, something which he has failed to do in North London.

According to a report from the Daily Mail last month, both Manchester clubs, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are keen to sign the England captain.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will demand a fee in the region of £150 million to sanction the sale of Kane and is not prepared to sell to a Premier League rival.

Whether any club can realistically afford Kane given the fact he has three years left on his contract along with the financial implications caused by COVID-19 remains to be seen.
