Report claims Spurs have sealed the return of Gareth Bale

The Daily Mail have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have sealed a deal to bring Gareth Bale back to the club.

The report suggests that the 31-year-old has agreed on personal terms over a year-long loan deal which is worth in excess of £13million, with Real Madrid funding a share of his wages.

Bale is said to be looking forward to the opportunity to return to his former club and get his career back on track seven years after leaving for the Spanish giants in what was then a world record £85million transfer fee (BBC).

Jose Mourinho is said to have pushed for the deal to be completed after the defeat to Everton on Sunday with the Portuguese insistent that they needed Bale’s attacking qualities to help his team.

Mourinho’s request saw Daniel Levy push forward with the negotiations and it is reported that the announcement will be made once a few minor contractual obligations are ironed out.
