Report claims Spurs scouts have persuaded Mourinho to bid for £20m player

Tottenham Hotspur’s scouting team have apparently already identified a possible target for new manager Jose Mourinho, and it comes from the Championship.

The Northern Echo say that scouts at Spurs have persuaded the new head coach to get on board with a bid for Hull City forward Jarrod Bowen, after the youngster has impressed recently. After being pointed towards the player, Mourinho is apparently also now impressed.

Spurs are said to be long-term admirers of the player but may have to bid as much as £20m for his services in January. Sky Sports recently stated that Hull wanted £20m for the player, although he only has six months left on his current contract.

Newcastle have also been monitoring the player but are not confident that they can compete with Tottenham for his signature.

At just 22-years-old, Bowen has netted 17 goals in 23 games for his club this season alone, hence why he is starting to attract some attention from the big clubs (HITC).
