Report claims Spurs star is now playing ‘with a smile on his face’ following criticism

Dejan Kulusevski’s impressive start to life at Tottenham Hotspur has seen the 21-year-old receive praise within his native Swedish press.

Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet ran a feature on the left-footer in Monday’s print edition (21/03) to herald his performances in north London, claiming he has ‘taken the Premier League by storm’ and is proving that he ‘belongs’ at such a high level.

Kulusevski joined Tottenham on loan from Juventus until the 30th of June 2023 which will see Spurs pay a €10 million (£8.3million) fee. €3 million (£2.5 million) of which is for the current season, and a further €7 million (£5.8milion) for the next campaign.

His displays have seen manager Antonio Conte claim that the Swedish international will likely explode into a top player for the club and the best is still to come from him (Daily Mail).

Some Juventus fans mocked Spurs for their double raid to land Kulusevski and Bentancur following the loss against Wolves, however it is now looking more and more like a shrewd piece of business from Fabio Paratici.

The paper adds that Kulusevski is now playing with a ‘smile on his face’ and has sent his critics into ‘retreat’.

SpursWeb Opinion

Kulusevski has adapted brilliantly to the rigours of the English Premier League and has the physical attributes and work rate to become a big success.

Lucas Moura was in impressive form earlier in the season and has seen the young Swede become a regular in Conte’s starting eleven in recent weeks, hopefully, he will have a big say in the run in with Spurs looking to secure a top four place.
