Report claims that Hugo Lloris’ contract could be his last at Spurs

Hugo Lloris could leave Tottenham Hotspur before his summer expires in the summer of 2022, according to Football.London.

The report claims that the French World Cup winner is ‘unlikely to prolong his stay’ in North London beyond his current deal.

Lloris has been at Tottenham since joining from Lyon in 2012 for £7.9million (Independent) and has gone on to make 331 appearances in all competitions for the club (transfermarkt).

It is claimed that the goalkeeper could leave the club before his contract expires if an opportunity presents itself with Spurs only in a position to recoup some transfer funds up until next summer.

The 33-year-old admitted in an interview with France Football last year that he does not expect to see out his career with Tottenham and revealed that he could potentially make the move across the pond to Major League Soccer before he calls time on his playing days (France Football).

Jose Mourinho made the move earlier this summer to recruit former England number one Joe Hart on a free transfer with the 33-year-old displacing Paulo Gazzaniga as Lloris’ understudy.
