Report claims that Jose Mourinho looks set to hand player a rare start at West Ham

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to get their Premier League campaign back on track tomorrow lunchtime when they face West Ham United tomorrow lunchtime.

Jose Mourinho’s side head into the London derby in the unfamiliar position of trailing their rivals in the Premier League table with the Hammers currently enjoying a six point advantage with Spurs having a game in hand.

The Daily Mail claim that Gareth Bale is likely to be handed a start by the Portuguese in the match at the London Stadium.

The 31-year-old has only started two Premier League fixtures this season with the majority of his game time having come in the Europa League.

Bale impressed during Thursday’s 4-1 win against Wolfsberger in Budapest and was withdrawn after 65 minutes.

The report suggests that the Welshman has to make the most of the opportunity to start should it materialise after he flopped on his last top flight start in the defeat at Brighton.
