Report claims the crucial time period which could decide Jose Mourinho’s future

According to a report in The Telegraph, Jose Mourinho faces a crucial 12 days which are likely to determine whether or not he is still in charge of Tottenham Hotspur next season.

Tottenham have now lost five of their last six Premier League games and a top-four finish already seems like it could be out of the club’s reach this season.

Pressure continues to mount on Mourinho but The Telegraph has revealed that the Spurs boss still retains the support of chairman Daniel Levy.

However, it is said that the Portuguese coach is expected to turn around Tottenham’s form in the upcoming four matches against Wolfsberger, Burnley, Fulham and Crystal Palace.

The report claims that a defeat in any one of those games will put Mourinho’s job in jeopardy, with Julian Nagelsmann being identified as Spurs’ top target should they part ways with Mourinho.

It is said that Nagelsmann would be open to a move to the Premier League in the summer but the RB Leipzig boss is not prepared to leave mid-season with his side currently second in the Bundesliga table.

Spurs Web Opinion

Our next three matches in the Premier League are all quite winnable and this presents Mourinho and Spurs with a great opportunity to turn things around. Given the nature of the current season, three wins can make a massive difference to a team’s prospects for the rest of the campaign. If we play as well as we did in the second half against West Ham, we should get around 7 points from our next three games leading up to the North London Derby.
