Report claims this Spurs midfielder is not trusted by Pochettino anymore

There were many talking points from the Man City match at the weekend, from Lucas’ 19-second goal to the late VAR drama, but one detail may have slipped under the carpet.

Although Tottenham’s bench caught the eye with the addition of new signing, Giovani Lo Celso, there was one notable absentee.

Victor Wanyama is yet to appear this season, in the Premier League or pre-season, and was left out against Man City despite the fact that Eric Dier and teenager Oliver Skipp were included.

The fact that Pochettino has now got more faith in an 18-year-old than the veteran Wanyama seems to heavily imply that his Tottenham career is all but done.

Goal reported after the match that it seems as if Wanyama is not trusted by the Argentine manager anymore.

At one point under Pochettino, Wanyama was the chief enforcer, a player the manager liked so much that he brought him with him from Southampton.

However, the latest rumours suggest that Victor may be on the way out before September 2, with Galatasaray interested in the midfield man (Fanatik).
