Report claims what Daniel Levy’s stance is on re-signing Gareth Bale

Daniel Levy is keen on re-signing Gareth Bale for next season, according to a report by Eurosport,

Bale was largely a passenger in the North London derby on Sunday until he was withdrawn just before the hour mark but the Welshman’s performance against Arsenal was an anomaly compared to how he has fared over the last couple of months.

The experienced wide man has shown signs of nearing full fitness recently and has proven that he could still produce at the top level.

There have been some contradictory reports regarding Bale’s future that have emerged recently with Football.London claiming that Spurs have the first option to re-sign the winger on loan next season while The Evening Standard has reported that no such option exists and that Spurs would have to re-negotiate a deal with Real Madrid.

Eurosport have now backed Football.London’s claim that Spurs do indeed have first refusal on the 31-year-old.

The report further adds that Daniel Levy is keen to activate the option and get Bale back to the club next season since the Spurs chairman dreams of the returning superstar celebrating in front of fans at a packed Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Levy might be keen on bringing Bale back to the club but I doubt the Spurs chairman will push for the deal if Mourinho does not want the Welshman in the squad. However, if Bale continues his good form until the end of the season, there is no reason for Jose to turn down the chance to have him back next season.
