Report claims what Jose Mourinho’s stance is on a potential return for Christian Eriksen

While Tottenham Hotspur moved to bring Gareth Bale back to the club in the summer transfer window, it does look like the North Londoners hold any interest in bringing back another one of their former stars who had tremendous successes during his time at White Hart Lane in Christian Eriksen.

Football Insider report that Jose Mourinho has told the Spurs hierarchy that he does not want the midfielder back at the club.

Eriksen has had somewhat of a nightmare at Inter Milan since leaving Spurs in January after he has struggled to force himself into Antonio Conte’s plans.

Inter Milan chief executive Giuseppe Marotta hinted last week that the 28-year-old could look to leave the Serie A giants when the transfer window reopens next month (Sky Italia via Sky Sports).

Eriksen has been linked with a move back to the Premier League but it looks like a fairy tale return to Spurs is not on the cards for the midfielder.

Football Insider claim that Mourinho has privately advised the club against launching a move for the former Ajax man since his side already has plenty of options in the attacking midfield positions.
