Report claims which club Mauricio Pochettino wants to manage next

Mauricio Pochettino’s five and a half year spell at Tottenham Hotspur came to an end exactly two weeks ago.

Heading into the international break, the North London side found themselves in the unfamiliar position of fourteenth in the Premier League along with embarrassment in cup competitions inflicted by both ends of the footballing spectrum in Bayern Munich and Colchester United.

Just months after leading his time to their first ever Champions League final, the 47-year-old found himself on the managerial scrap heap and replaced by serial winner Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese has won trophies at Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan Real Madrid and Manchester United and tomorrow evening has the opportunity to increase the pressure on his successor, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Sun claim that the Norwegian has told his players that he faces the sack if he loses tomorrow night along with Saturday’s derby with Manchester City.

Pochettino is said to want to take over the managerial mantle at Manchester United, should the club decide to sack Solskjaer (Manchester Evening News).

According to the report, Pochettino remains keen to manage the former Premier League champions having previously been linked with the post following Mourinho’s sacking last December.

The Argentine confirmed to Fox Sports Argentina that he is already open to offers for his next job after spending some time back in his homeland.
