Report: Club are ‘growing in confidence’ about signing Spurs man after latest meeting

The Daily Mirror have claimed that Bayern Munich are now ‘growing in confidence’ that they will be able to seal a deal for Harry Kane.

We previously revealed an update from The Athletic’s David Ornstein, where the journalist revealed that Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen held a breakfast meeting with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy on Thursday.

The journalist explained, however, that no offer for Kane was submitted during the meeting between the two club chiefs.

Bayern take confidence from the meeting with Spurs

The Mirror have revealed that the Bundesliga giants are now becoming increasingly confident after the meeting that they will be able to lure the England captain away from the North London club.

The report claims that after seeing their first two offers for Kane turned down by Spurs, Bayern are now ready to go back with a third bid of close to £80m in an effort to tempt Levy into selling the 29-year-old.

The outlet adds that the Spurs chairman is ready to run the risk of allowing the centre-forward to drift into the final year of his contract but could be tempted to change his stance if the size of the German club’s offers continue to grow.

The fact that Levy met with Dreesen suggests that the Spurs chairman is very much open to the possibility of cashing in on Kane for the right price.

However, I am not sure that £80m would be enough to tempt him, particularly now that PSG are also seemingly prepared to enter the bidding war.
