Report: Club are willing to sell Spurs-linked centre-back in the summer

According to Bild, Eintracht Frankfurt are open to cashing in on rumoured Tottenham target Evan Ndicka in the summer.

Ndicka has come on leaps and bounds since swapping Auxerre for Frankfurt back in 2018, with the youngster having established himself as one of the most reliable centre-backs in German football over the last couple of years.

It was Bild who reported last summer that the Frenchman was on Tottenham’s radar.  However, the 22-year-old ended up staying put at the Waldstadion and his reputation has only been further enhanced by his performances this season.

The same publication have now revealed that Franckfurt are open to cashing in on Ndicka at the end of the season. Bild state that the Bundesliga club are willing to sell the France Under-21 international for around €20m (£16.8m) in the summer.

This relatively low asking price being reported is likely because of the fact that Ndicka’s current contract at Frankfurt runs out in 2023 (Transfermarkt).

Spurs Web Opinion

Spurs do need a left-sided centre-back in the summer as there is currently no competition for Ben Davies’ place in the starting eleven.

Ndicka would be a natural fit for the left centre-back role in Conte’s back three and the 22-year-old does suit the profile of players that Paratici has tended to pursue.
