Report: Club determined to hold on to two players eyed by Spurs

According to a report from Hampshire Live, Southampton are determined to hold on to rumoured Tottenham Hotspur targets Danny Ings and Jannik Vestergaard.

Strengthening at centre-back is expected to be a priority for Tottenham this summer and Vestergaard, who has just 12 months left to run on his contract at St Mary’s, is one of the names rumoured to be on the North London club’s radar.

Ings, like Vestergaard, is also set to run into the final year of his contract and Spurs are reportedly eyeing the former Liverpool striker as a potential replacement for Harry Kane.

However, if Hamshire Live are to be believed, Tottenham are unlikely to get either Vestergaard or Ings this summer, with the Saints determined to hold on to both players.

It is explained that Southampton have told their Premier League rivals that the duo, along with James Ward-Prowse, are not for sale this summer.
