Report: Club determined to keep Tottenham target this summer

Tottenham Hotspur have yet to dip into the transfer market this summer, but their 16-month drought hasn’t prevented them from being linked to numerous stars.

One potential position of focus this summer for Pochettino will be at right-back, with the likes of Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier underperforming last campaign.

Trippier has actually recently been linked with a £30m move away from Spurs to Italian giants Juventus (Times).

One possible replacement for the England World Cup 2018 hero could be Norwich City’s Max Aarons, after a standout season in the Championship last time out.

The 19-year-old is contracted at Norwich until 2023, but Tottenham have been linked with a move for him this week (Football London).

However, the Telegraph now report that Premier League new boys Norwich are confident and determined to keep hold of their teenage right-back this summer.

Tottenham have also been linked with a move for Crystal Palace youngster Aaron Wan-Bissaka, as their right-back search continues (Sun).

Spurs Web Opinion:

I would be extremely disappointed if Tottenham ended up with neither Wan-Bissaka or Aarons. Both look to be quality young, English right backs, the exact position Spurs need right now. Tottenham should not be scared of spending big money in defensive positions.
