Report: Club expect Tottenham to bid for their 15-goal striker this summer

The print edition of Sport BILD (as relayed by Sport Witness) have claimed that Eintracht Frankfurt expect Tottenham Hotpsur to make an offer for Omar Marmoush this summer.

Marmoush is having an outstanding campaign at Deutsche Bank Park, bagging 15 goals and six assists in 33 games in all competitions to date (Tranfermarkt).

It was Bild who first reported back in February that Spurs and Newcastle United had both expressed an interest in the Egypt international ahead of the summer.

Spurs are expected to bid for Omar Marmoush

The same publication have now offered an update on Marmoush’s future, stating that Frankfurt have ‘assumed’ that Tottenham and other suitors will bid for the striker his summer.

It is alleged that the German club could be open to entering into negotiations for the 25-year-old and would not stand in the player’s way if he decides to leave.

The report reveals that Marmoush dreams of moving to the Premier League, with Frankfurt hopeful of getting €50m-€60m (£42.7m-£51.3m) from his sale.

Postecoglou will be hoping to sign a centre-forward of a higher calibre than Marmoush to challenge Richarlison for his place in the starting eleven. I expect the Egyptian to be signed by a mid-table Premier League side such as West Ham or Brentford.
