The print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness) have suggested that Inter Milan want to make an early move for Albert Gudmundsson as they are fearful of being blown out of the water financially by Tottenham in the race for the Genoa star.
Over the last week, plenty of Italian outlets have reported on Inter’s interest in Gudmundsson and the battle that the Serie A side foresee with Tottenham for the attacking midfielder.
FcInterNews suggested last week that with Spurs circling over the Genoa star, Simone Inzaghi’s men do not have a ‘clear path’ to the player.
A couple of days ago, InterLive.it claimed that Fabio Paratici, who works as a consultant for Tottenham, is a big fan of the Icelandic international and that the Nerazzurri fear that the Lilywhites could submit a big offer for the midfielder at the Italian’s insistence.

Inter Milan make first move for Gudmundsson
Gazzetta have now suggested that the current Serie A leaders have already taken their first step towards Gudmundsson and have ‘informed his agent’ of their appreciation of his client.
It is explained that while Inter have not kickstarted talks with Genoa so far, they are keen to move early to get a head start on Tottenham.
The publication adds that while various Premier League sides are keen on the attacking midfielder, Spurs are ‘above all’ in the race and have ‘notoriously greater’ spending power than Inter.
Spurs Web Opinion
Tottenham would not have any trouble outbidding Inter for Gudmundsson but the decision could come down to the player, who might prefer to remain in the Serie A. Perhaps Radu Dragusin can put in a word to his friend and teammate about life at Hotspur Way and influence his decision
