Report: Club fear Spurs manager target has decided on a Premier League move

According to Football Insider, Celtic fear that Tottenham’s rumoured managerial target Ange Postecoglou has already made up his mind to join a Premier League club this summer.

Postecoglou has had a transformative effect since arriving at Celtic almost two years ago, with the Hoops on the verge of completing a historic treble this season.

His work has reportedly not gone unnoticed in the Premier League, with Alasdair Gold revealing last week on The Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast that the Spurs hierarchy have considered making a move for the Celtic boss.

Football Insider have now claimed that Postecoglou has many admirers in England, including both Tottenham and Leeds United.

The publication explains that the 57-year-old’s knowledge of the Japanese and Asian markets has also been a factor in impressing Premier League clubs.

The report states that sources with knowledge of the situation feel that Postecoglou has already decided that his future lies in England and that the Celtic club chiefs would be powerless to stop the Australian from leaving this summer.

I am certainly not surprised that Postecoglou is attracting interest from Premier League clubs but I do not think that he is one of the top names on Tottenham’s wishlist.

The Celtic boss will likely have to prove himself at a club like Leeds and Palace before he is considered for the biggest jobs in the Premier League and across Europe.
