Report: Club ‘guaranteed’ to receive £30m from Spurs by end of the season

Calciomercato have revealed that Juventus are guaranteed to receive a fee of around €35m (£31.3m) from Tottenham for Dejan Kulusevski.

Kulusevski has been a revelation since joining Spurs from Juventus in January on an initial loan deal. Fabrizio Romano revealed back in August that there is ‘no doubt’ Tottenham will sign Kulusevski permanently.

He explained that the North London club would have an obligation to buy the player for €35m (£31.3m) next summer if they finish in the top four this season, failing which the club will have the option to buy him for the same amount.

CMW.it subsequently suggested a couple of weeks ago that Fabio Paratici might even offer Bryan Gil to Juventus in an effort to get a discount on Kulusevski.

Calciomercato have now asserted that the 22-year-old ‘will stay’ at Tottenham and that the Serie A giants are ‘guaranteed’ to receive €35m (£31.3m) for the winger on top of the €10m (£8.6m) loan fee they received from the North London club.

The report adds that the fee will be ‘important’ for Juventus as it will add to their transfer budget next summer.

Spurs Web Opinion

There is simply no doubt that Kulusevski will stay at Spurs. In a short space of time, the Swede’s value has skyrocketed and one can argue that he is now worth around £50m-£60m. So, Juventus will be ruing the fact that they agreed to let the 22-year-old and Rodrigo Bentancur leave for such modest fees back in January.
