Report: Club have decided not to listen to offers for Spurs target until June

TuttoMercatoWeb have revealed that Sassuolo will not entertain offers for Tottenham target Davide Frattesi during the January transfer window.

Frattesi, who had a breakthrough season at Sassuolo in 2021-22, has been even more impressive in the first part of this campaign, having found the back of the net four times in 15 Serie A appearances (Transfermarkt).

The 25-year-old’s form is thought to have caught Tottenham’s eye, with Sassuolo News reporting back in October that Antonio Conte’s men were monitoring the centre midfielder’s situation ahead of January.

TMW have now backed up Spurs’ interest in Frattesi but they reveal that the North London club are not the only Premier League who have their eyes on the 25-year-old, with West Ham United and Brighton also credited with an interest in the player.

In addition, the player is also said to be on the radars of both Roma and Napoli, and it is explained that his preference would be to join the Gialorrossi, who he supported while growing up.

However, TMW add that Sussuolo do not intend to sell Frattesi next month and only plan on listening to offers for the Italy international in June.

Spurs Web Opinion

Frattesi would be an excellent addition for Tottenham as he offers more going forward than our other midfield options, which would make him a good fit for the 3-5-2 system.  At the same time, the 25-year-old also possesses the engine, defensive awareness and tactical acumen to be used as part of a two-man midfielder in a 3-4-3.
