Report: Club have received £15.4m offer from England for Spurs-linked defender

According to CalcioMercato, the offers Fiorentina have received so far for rumoured Tottenham Hotspur target Nikola Milenkovic have fallen well short of the Italian club’s valuation.

If reports over recent days are to be believed, Fabio Paratici appears to be wasting little time in trying to solve Tottenham’s issues in central defence.

It has been rumoured that Spurs have already launched offers for Sevilla’s Jules Kounde and Bologna’s Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Milenkovic is another central defender Paratici is said to have his eye on, with Viola News reporting recently that the Spurs managing director of football has contacted the Serbian’s agent regarding a move to North London.

Calico Mercato have now shed more light on Milenkovic’s future by explaining that Fiorentina are ready to cash in on the defender.

It is alleged that the Serie A club are looking to raise €25-30m (£21.5-£26m) from the centre-back’s sale despite the player having just 12 months left to run on his contract.

However, it is asserted that the club have only received a solitary €18m (£15.4m) offer from England for Milenkovic so far.

Spurs Web Opinion

Paratici would certainly know Milenkovic very well having watched the centre-back closely in the Serie A for the past couple of years. The 23-year-old fits the profile of centre-backs we have been linked with due to his age and high ceiling. He is also likely to be a cheaper option than Kounde (and potentially Tomiyasu) due to his contract situation.
