Report: Club hope to tie down Spurs target to new contract

Tottenham were linked to several forwards in the January transfer window after both Harry Kane and Dele Alli were out with injuries but in the end, no new signings materialised.

Spurs will certainly need to add to their striking department in the summer with both Fernando Llorente and Vincent Janssen likely to be sold.

One player who Spurs are reported to have a long-term interest in is AS Roma striker Cengiz Under.

The 21-year-old wing forward has been a revelation since moving to the Italian capital a couple of seasons ago from Başakşehir.

Under is having yet another impressive season having notched up six goals already this term.

According to a report in Calcio Mercato, Roma are hoping to make him commit to a long-term contract at the club.

The report claims that Under is also attracting interest from the likes of Bayern Munich and Arsenal.

Those who have watched Under will have undoubtedly noticed that has tremendous potential but if he does sign a new contract with the Serie A outfit, his price will go up steeply.
