Report: Club hoping that Tottenham make a move for their striker in January

Tuttosport have claimed that Fiorentina are hoping Tottenham Hotspur make a move for Dusan Vlahovic in order to avoid selling the striker to Juventus.

According to reports, Antonio Conte has urged Tottenham to snap up Vlahvoic following his appointment last week.

It has been alleged that Fabio Paratici recently met with the Fiorentina directors to discuss a potential deal for the Serbian international.

Gazzetta dello Sport have even suggested that the new Tottenham head coach has been assured by the North London club’s hierarchy that they are committed to signing the 21-year-old.

Juventus are also thought to be eyeing Vlahovic but it has been reported (TuttoJuve24) that the Old Lady are concerned Spurs could pip them for the striker’s signature following Conte’s appointment.

Tuttosport have now suggested that Juve ‘will try’ to snap up the Fiorentina star when the transfer window opens in January.

However, it is explained that the Viola owner Rocco Commisso would prefer to avoid selling Vlahavoic to Juve and is thus hoping that Spurs or another Premier League club make a move for the striker.

Spurs Web Opinion

With multiple sources now reporting that Fiorentina would prefer to sell Vlahovic to Spurs over Juventus, the ball does seem to be in the North London club’s court.

However, I can see Juventus winning the race for the 21-year-old in January as I suspect Paratici and co will put off an approach for the striker until the summer when there is more clarity regarding Kane’s future.
