A Bola have reported that Wolves midfielder, Joao Moutinho may be willing to take a wage cut to move to Porto this summer, which could be good news for Spurs.
The report goes on to claim that the club’s interest in Mourinho is a direct result of the uncertain future surrounding Sergio Oliveira, hinting that the Wolves man could be his replacement.
This comes after Record reported last week that Oliveira is waiting for Tottenham to try and sign him this summer as he is keen on a potential transfer.
Oliveira is said to be worth around £17m this summer, even though the 29-year-old still has four years left on his current contract (TransferMarkt).
Albeit in an inferior league, the midfielder managed an impressive 20 goals and seven assists last season across all competitions. However, it must be said that these are heights he has not reached before.
Spurs Web Opinion:
I expect Spurs to make a series of sensible £10m to £15m signings this summer, looking for bargains from overseas. Oliveira may well fit into that category.
