Report: Club now targeting double-deal for Lo Celso and Ndombele from Spurs

According to Sky Sports’ live transfer blog (at 9:53), Villarreal are targeting a double deal for Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele this summer.

Lo Celso thrived on loan at Villarreal during the second half of last season and reports over the last week have indicated that the La Liga club have stepped up their pursuit of the Argentine.

Marca revealed last week that Unai Emery’s side had made a loan offer to sign the former Real Betis man with an obligation to make it permanent for €15m (£12.5m).

Fabrizio Romano claimed on Sunday that the Spanish club were ‘confident’ of snapping up the Tottenham man.

Sky Sports have now suggested that Lo Celso is Villarreal’s top target but the La Liga side would prefer to sign him on another loan deal rather than a permanent one.

The report claims the Yellow Submarine are also keen on completing a loan move for Lo Celso’s Tottenham teammate Ndombele if a deal for a Frenchman can be done.

Sky Sports add that Ndombele is also attracting interest from Marseille and Galatasaray but the 25-year-old would prefer a move to Spain or Italy.

Spurs Web Opinion

Tottenham have no choice but to loan out Ndombele as it is unlikely that they are going to find a buyer for the Frenchman unless he accepts a substantial wage cut.

However, I do not think Spurs will agree to loan Lo Celso out unless it comes with an obligation to buy as the Argentine seems to have no shortage of suitors this summer.
