Report: Club ‘relaxed’ despite reports of Spurs interest in their manager

According to a report from The Argus, Brighton are confident that Graham Potter will stay at the club despite reports linking him with a move to Tottenham.

Tottenham have held talks with a whole host of names over the past few months but we appear no closer to finding out who is set to replace Jose Mourinho.

Over recent days, it has been suggested that the club could revisit their interest in some of their previous targets and Potter is one of the names the North London club are said to have their eye on.

In fact, some sources have even claimed that Spurs have held ‘positive contacts’ with the 46-year-old about the vacancy.

However, The Argus have now reported that Brighton have not received an official approach from Tottenham for Potter so far.

It is said that the Seagulls hierarchy are not surprised to see Potter’s name being linked with the Spurs job but are relaxed about the situation.

The club fully believe that the English coach will remain at the Amex Stadium to oversee the continuation of their current project.

Spurs Web Opinion

Spurs fans seem to be divided on Potter but he was always my first-choice if bringing Pochettino back was not a possibility. While his CV is not as impressive as some of the other candidates and he does not have experience at a top club, I believe we could potentially see some of our attacking talents thrive in the 46-year-old’s system.
