Report: Club set price tag for 19-goal midfielder linked with Spurs and Arsenal

According to SportBild (as relayed by Sport Witness), RB Leipzig want around £46m for rumoured Tottenham target Christopher Nkunku in the summer.

Nkunku has become one of the hottest properties in European football on the back of his performances for Leipzig so far this season.

The 24-year-old has scored 19 times and assisted 13 times in all competitions for Domenico Tedesco’s side and has starred in the Champions League (Transfermarkt).

The Frenchman was reported to be on Tottenham’s radar ahead of last summer’s transfer window, while Arsenal were also thought to have their eye on the attacking midfielder (Foot Mercato).

ESPN revealed earlier this week that Manchester United were also set to enter the race for Nkunku in the summer after a request from the club’s interim manager Ralf Rangnick.

Bild have now revealed the Leipzig star is also of interest to United’s cross-city rivals Manchester City, with Pep Guardiola ‘keen’ on bringing the player to the Etihad stadium.

The report goes on to add that the Bundesliga club value Nkuku at around €55m (£45.9m) as things stand.

Spurs Web Opinion

Given Nkuku’s form this season, he is likely to be of interest to many top clubs around the continent, including several in the Premier League. So, I do not think we would have much of a chance of getting the 24-year-old, especially if we fail to get into the Champions League.
