Report: Club set to make offer for Spurs attacker in the ‘next few hours’

According to SampNews24, Sampdoria are set to submit a loan offer for Bryan Gil to Tottenham ‘in the next few hours’.

Gil is currently training with the Tottenham first-team squad at Hotspur Way after returning from his successful loan spell at Valencia during the second half of the 2021/22 season.

Reports over recent weeks have indicated that Valencia are keen to bring the winger back to the Mestalla (Mundo Deportivo) while Marseille (Fabrizio Romano) and Real Sociedad (Estadio Deportivo) have also been mooted as potential destinations for the 21-year-old.

Italian journalist Daniele Longo revealed a couple of days ago that Fabio Paratici has flown to Italy and that one of the things on the Spurs managing director’s agenda is to hold talks with Sampdoria about Gil.

SampNews24 have now revealed that Tottenham have made it clear to the Serie A club that they would only loan out Gil and do not want to include an option to buy in the deal.

The report reveals that the north London club are looking for a loan fee of €2.5m (£2.1m) for the former Sevilla man, which is ‘deemed excessive’ by Sampdoria.

However, it is explained that Marco Giampaolo are now readying a loan bid for Gil, which could be sent to Tottenham over the next few hours.
