Report: Club to hold talks with reported Spurs target over his future

Sky Sports claimed earlier this season that both Tottenham and Everton were interested in signing the Bournemouth central defender, Nathan Ake, touting him as a future star.

The Mirror have added Chelsea, Ake’s former club, and Manchester City to the growing list of teams interested in fighting for the Dutch defender’s signature.

The Mirror have also gone on to report that Bournemouth will now hold talks with the player himself to discuss his future.

A new centre-back could certainly be on the cards for Tottenham who could be set to lose their first-choice pair come the end of the season.

Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld have formed a dynamic duo in the Spurs back line for a number of years now, but both are entering the final six months of their contracts.

The 24-year-old Nathan Ake could represent a very tempting replacement, as he has youth on his side as well as good experience in the Premier League.
