Cadena SER have revealed that Valencia are keen on re-signing Bryan Gil on loan in January but the La Liga club are waiting for Tottenham to ‘open the door’ for the player.
The report states that Gennaro Gattuso wants to add a winger to his squad in January, with Gil said to be at the top of the club’s wishlist on the back of his loan spell last season.
It is asserted that returning to the Mestalla was the 21-year-old’s ‘express wish’ in the summer but the deal collapsed at the last minute.
Valencia now hope to resume the ‘love story’ they started with Gil last season but both the club and the player know that ‘everything continues to depend on Tottenham’.
Cadena SER add that negotiating with Tottenham would not be easy, as proven by the fact that the deal for the winger collapsed during the summer transfer window.
In addition, the Spaniard is also thought to be on the radar of other La Liga clubs but it is said that Valencia might have an advantage over those teams, thanks to the ‘good experience’ the attacker had at the club last season.

Other Spanish publications have revealed over recent days and weeks that Gil is also on the radars of Sevilla, Real Sociedad, Cadiz and Mallorca (Estadio Deportivo).

It looks like Tottenham and Gil are set to have a whole host of options to choose from in January. However, I do not expect the deal to go through early in the window as Conte will likely want a replacement brought in before the Spaniard is loaned out.
