Report: Club want to send 27-year-old right back to Tottenham this summer

Sporx are now reporting that Tanguy Ndombele will not remain at Galatasaray beyond the end of the season, which will not come as a surprise to Tottenham fans.

Some Spurs fans were hoping after the arrival of Ange Postecoglou that Ndombele’s career at the club might be handed a lifeline, with the midfielder capable of playing with the sort of flair and bravery that the Australian expects from his players.

However, the 58-year-old decided after taking a look at the Frenchman in pre-season that he is not a good fit for his team, with the midfielder being loaned out to Galatasaray – the third time he has gone on loan since signing for the Lilywhites in 2019.

Ndombele’s loan spell at Istanbul has been the most disappointing of the three he has had so far, with the 27-year-old struggling to get game time and looking well off the pace in the few opportunities that he has been handed.

Galatasaray make decision on Tanguy Ndombele

Sporx have now said that the Turkish club will not be activating the option to sign Ndombele permanently this summer nor will they look to extend his loan deal.

The report claims Galatasaray are now drafting plans to renovate their midfield department in the summer, with the on-loan Spurs man one of the players set to depart.

The outlet adds that the former Lyon man has failed to make a positive impression at the club and will thus be returning to Tottenham in May.

Spurs Web Opinion

While it is clear that we have seen the last of Ndombele on a Tottenham shirt, it will not be easy for Spurs to find a buyer willing to pay even a modest fee for the Frenchman next summer, given how much he has struggled in Turkey this season.
