Report: Club will make rumoured Spurs target available for sale this summer

According to the print edition of L’Equipe (11/04/22 – as relayed by Sport Witness), Paris Saint-Germain are ready to sell Leandro Paredes and Julian Draxler, both of whom have been linked with Tottenham recently.

Tottenham reportedly wanted to sign Parades during the January transfer window but the Argentine was not interested in making the move at the time (The Athletic).

Antonio Conte’s men snapped up Rodrigo Bentancur from Juventus instead and the Uruguayan has hit the ground running in North London.

Calciomercato.it reported last week that Spurs are expected to reignite their interest in Parades this summer and could face competition from Arsenal and Juventus for the Argentine.

Draxler is another player who was linked with a move to Spurs in the past (Le Parisien), with the winger being restricted to a bit-part role in Paris under Mauricio Pochettino.

L’Equipe have now revealed that PSG are ready to sell both Parades and Draxler when the transfer window reopens. The report asserts that if any club asks for either player, they would be made available ‘immediately’.

Spurs Web Opinion

I do not think Draxler is likely to be on Tottenham’s radar but I do think there might be some truth to our rumoured interest in Paredes. With Winks potentially on his way out, Conte might be demanding a technically proficient and tactically astute centre midfielder and the Argentine seems to fit the bill.
