Report: Conern at Hotspur Way as Man City are scouting young Spurs starlet

Football Transfers have revealed that Manchester City are now keeping a close eye on Tottenham academy starlet Tyrese Hall, with the Premier League champions now allegedly contemplating a move for the young midfiedler.

After impressing for the Under-18s over the last couple of seasons, Hall has become a key member of Tottenham’s Under-21 set-up this campaign, having scored five goals and provided three assists across all competitions so far (Transfermarkt).

The versatile midfielder, who can operate as a number six or in a box-to-box role, is thought to be rated quite highly at Hotspur Way, but he is now alleged to be attracting envious glances from elsewhere.

Man City watching Tyrese Hall’s progress

Football Transfers say that scouts from Man City have watched Hall recently as they contemplate a move for the youngster in the near future.

It is revealed that representatives from the Manchester club were present at Broadhall Way to run the rule over the 18-year-old as Tottenham’s U21 took on Aston Villa last week, with the North London side emerging 5-3 winners.

Hall was the standout performer for Wayne Burnett’s men, registering two assists, with the City scouts said to have been impressed by the teenager.

The report adds that while Spurs are keen to retain the youngster, they are concerned that the prospect of moving to the City academy and having the opportunity to develop under Pep Guardiola could prove enticing for the midfielder.

Given Postecoglou’s track record of trusting young players and with the Australian demonstrating at Spurs that he is prepared to hand opportunities to academy products, Tottenham should be able to convince Hall that there is a clear pathway to the first-team at Hotspur Way.
