Report: Conte admires right-back and wants to sign him for Spurs this summer

Antonio Conte wants to sign Torino defender Wilfried Singo for Tottenham this summer, according to Tuttosport (24/03/22 edition via Sport Witness).

Singo has been a regular for Torino since establishing himself last season and has continued to show strides in his development this campaign.

Spurs have reportedly shown an interest in his services this season and have scouted his progress throughout the campaign (Milan News).

If recent reports are to be believed, they could push for a transfer in the upcoming transfer window, with Tuttosport claiming Conte is a fan of the 21-year-old.

The report states the Italian coach admires Singo ‘especially’ and ‘wants him at Tottenham’ in the summer transfer window.

However, it is also noted that Torino intend to evaluate the player’s future at the conclusion of the current campaign, given there are other potential suitors elsewhere.

Singo will have two years remaining on his contract with the Serie A outfit at the end of the season until June 2024. He has made 29 appearances this season, notching three goals and four assists (Transfermarkt).

Spurs Web Opinion

Singo seems to be a bright spark on the right-hand side for Torino as he is able to operate as both a defender and attacking player.

Tottenham have had their problems at full-back, especially this season, and they appear to be looking at options to address that.

Conte’s knowledge of Serie A along with Fabio Paratici should be used appropriately to target the right kind of players, and Singo looks like he is one to monitor.
