Report: Conte could look to sign Spurs star if he returns to Juventus

CMW.it have claimed that should Antonio Conte join Juventus, he could look to take Son Heung-min to Turin with him.

As Massimiliano Allegri comes under pressure following Juve’s poor start to the season, plenty of reports from Italy over the past week have suggested that the Old Lady could look to move for Conte.

Italian journalist Paolo Bargiggia claimed last Thursday that the Spurs boss is open to returning to his former club, which is why he has not renewed his deal with the Lilywhites.

This was backed up by a report in Calciomercato, who claimed over the weekend that Conte had pushed back talks over a contract renewal with Spurs until January, partly because he wants to see if the Bianconeri make an approach for him

CMW.it have now become the latest publication to report on the possibility of Conte returning to Juve.

The report suggests that while it would be ‘impossible’ for the Serie A giants to appoint Conte before the end of the season, a move for the 53-year-old next summer cannot be ruled out.

It is asserted that should the Spurs head coach take over at the Allianz Stadium, Son would become one of Juve’s main transfer targets.

This assertion is quite ridiculous, given that Son’s current deal at Spurs runs until 2025.

Given the financial state that Juve are in, there is no chance that they would be able to afford a deal for the South Korean, even if Conte went there.

That is also one of the reasons I do not see Conte returning to the club as they do not have the financial means to allow the Italian to build the sort of teams he wants.
