Report: Conte has two ‘concrete’ transfer wishes – Might be hard to sign both in January

Calcio Mercato have suggested that Antonio Conte might have to choose between a move for Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic and Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar in January.

Vlahovic has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs since Conte’s arrival in North London, with the Serbian thought to be at the top of the Italian’s wishlist, according to some sources.

Reports suggest the Viola want £77m to let the centre-forward leave next month.

Skriniar, meanwhile, has been a long-term target for Spurs, with the 26-year-old being linked with a move to the Lilywhites in the summer of 2020 as well as last summer.

CalcioMercato reported last month that the Slovakian international continues to be on Tottenham’s radar ahead of the January transfer window.

Inter Milan allegedly demanded more than €50m (£42.5m) for the central defender in the summer transfer window.

CalcioMercato have now claimed that Vlahvoic and Skriniar are the two ‘concrete objectives’ that Conte has in mind to strengthen the Tottenham squad next month.

However, the report adds that it ‘will be difficult’ for the Lilywhites to sign both players in January.

Spurs Web Opinion

I believe strengthening in central defence and central midfield will be bigger priorities for Conte in January than signing another striker.

However, there is no doubt that Spurs also need another number nine to cover for Kane. Whether a deal for Vlahovic would be realistic for the club remains to be seen.
