Report: Conte target looking to sell his home in Italy amidst Spurs links

Foot Mercato have revealed that rumoured Tottenham target Franck Kessie has put his home in Milan up for sale amidst speculation linking him with a move away from the club.

According to reports, Antonio Conte has urged Spurs to snap up Kessie, whose contract at the San Siro runs out at the end of the season.

Spurs are alleged to be hopeful that Conte’s arrival in North London would help them beat out the competition they face for the 24-year-old’s signature.

However, if Foot Mercato’s latest update is to be believed, Paris Saint-Germain are currently the front-runners to snap up the Ivory Coast international.

The report explains that PSG are ‘working hard’ to strike a deal for Kessie and are ‘well placed’ to land the player.

The Ligue 1 giants are said to have met with the midfielder’s entourage on several occasions to inquire about ‘his sporting and financial demands’.

The report makes it clear that Kessie is now unlikely to stay with Milan as the Rossoneri’s contract offer falls well short of the salary the midfielder is demanding.

It is also explained that the former Atalanta man has been looking to sell his Milan home for ‘a few weeks already’, making an exit all the more likely.

Spurs Web Opinion

If Kessie is looking for a sizable singing-on fee (when he joins as a free agent in the summer) and a substantial salary, it is not surprising that PSG have been installed as the favourites for his signature. Tottenham will have to rely on Conte’s pulling power to beat the Parisians to the 24-year-old.
