Report: Conte thought not keen on landing PSG midfielder as part of Ndombele swap deal

Paris Saint-Germain have offered Leandro Paredes to Tottenham Hotspur as part of a straight swap which would see Tanguy Ndombele head to the French capital, according to The Telegraph.

The report claims that Spurs head coach Antonio Conte is not thought to be keen on bringing Paredes to north London and to date, has not been offered a suitable player to make the exchange happen.

Spurs are said not to be against the idea of a swap deal involving the Ligue 1 giants after making it clear that Ndombele is not part of his first-team plans and is keen to offload the French international before the end of the month.

Ndombele has been training on his own at Hotspur Way in the wake of his exit during the FA Cup win against Morecambe earlier this month, which saw the midfielder booed off the pitch and exited the field of play slowly despite his side trailing at the time to the League One outfit.

The former Lyon man was brought to Tottenham by Mauricio Pochettino and the Argentine is reported to be convinced that he can harness the full potential of Ndombele at PSG.

A swap deal involving Ndombele would make sense if PSG are prepared to cover the majority of his wages and Spurs can land a player who can make an instant impact on the starting eleven.
