French publication But! Football Club have now claimed that Antonio Conte still remains on Paris Saint-Germain’s radar, with the Italian ‘waiting for guarantees’ from the Tottenham hierarchy.
Last week, Conte dismissed reports that he has offered himself to PSG as ‘fake news’ (Goal) but that has not stopped the speculation emanating from France linking the 52-year-old with the Ligue 1 giants (Le Parisien on 03/05/22 via Sport Witness).
The Tottenham head coach has refused to commit his future to the North London club, admitting instead that he will meet with Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici at the end of the season to discuss their future plans (Football.London).
But! Football Club have now claimed that Conte is one of three names on PSG’s shortlist to replace Mauricio Pochettino at the end of the season.
The report states that the Parisians have taken ‘the first step’ on the Spurs boss’ ‘file’.
It is alleged that Conte is ‘not against staying’ at Tottenham but he is ‘waiting for guarantees’ from the Spurs board, who will have to ‘get their hands on the wallet’ in the summer transfer window.
Otherwise, it is said that PSG ‘will not be afraid’ to try and wrestle the Italian out of Tottenham.

Even if Conte is not happy with what Spurs promise him this summer and seeks to walk away, he will need to find a club who are willing to pay off the final year of his contract.
PSG look like the most obvious ones to do that at the moment. However, I fully expect Conte to be backed this summer by the club as the Spurs hierarchy know that they cannot afford to lose the Italian.
