Tottenham Hotspur have a new manager at the helm of the club, just hours after Mauricio Pochettino was sacked by Daniel Levy and the board.
This came after the Argentine had spent over half a decade as Tottenham manager, taking them from Europa League mediocrity to the Champions League Final.
Mourinho certainly comes in the form of a big name manager who will be looking to end Spurs’ eleven-year wait for a trophy in North London.
However, the new gaffer’s top priority is said to have nothing to do with winning trophies, but convincing a certain star to remain at the club (Daily Mail).
Christian Eriksen has well under a year remaining on his current Tottenham contract, which could see him leave on a free at the end of the season.
However, rather than seeing an Eriksen exit in January or the summer, Jose apparently wants him to sign on the dotted line of a new contract.
