Report: Crystal Palace attacker is near the top of Spurs’ summer wishlist

The Independent have revealed that Tottenham are intent on adding a top-quality winger to their squad in the summer, with Wolves’ Pedro Neto and Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze currently their top targets.

Over the past few weeks, Spurs have been linked with a whole host of wide players, with Neto’s name appearing repeatedly (The Sun) while the likes of Barcelona’s Raphinha (Sport) and Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams (Sports Lens) have also been mooted as targets.

The Independent have now said that Ange Postecoglou wanted to sign a pacy winger during the January window but prices proved prohibitive in what was a slow market.

Tottenham like Eberechi Eze and Pedro Neto

The report alleges that the Lilywhites are expected to renew their pursuit of a wide player when the transfer window opens in June, with their primary attention expected to be on Neto and Eze.

The outlet explains that a deal for the Palace star may not be easy for Tottenham to do since Manchester City are also interested in him and the 25-year-old prefers a move to the Etihad Stadium.

The publication adds that any deal that Spurs agree for Neto will be staggered, with considerable portions made of appearance classes, given the Wolves star’s injury record.

All indications are that Neto is at the top of Tottenham’s wishlist and it would make total sense for Spurs to push for a deal with plenty of appearance-based add-ons. However, it remains to be seen if Wolves would be open to such a deal.
