Report: Crystal Palace could hand youngster full debut against Spurs

Football London have reported that youngster Jesurun Rak-Sakyi is pushing for his first-ever start in a Crystal Palace shirt against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.

The highly-rated youngster is reportedly close to forcing his way into Patrick Viera’s plans.

The winger most recently has made his case by scoring for England’s U20s in their 6-1 friendly win over Romania – the 18-year-old came on in the 77th minute and grabbed the final goal of the game.

It was his first-ever England youth cap and it may have come at the perfect time with Palace weighing up their options at right-wing.

Jordan Ayew is an obvious pick but the Ghanian international is desperately out of form; he has failed to score a goal since November.

Rak-Sakyi has already been given his debut for Palace after he came on in the second half of their 3-0 loss against Chelsea, but he is yet to earn a full debut from the start.

The winger could be now handed his chance this upcoming weekend with a place in the XI against Spurs potentially on the cards, according to Football London.

Palace away is always a tricky fixture – Spurs will do well to get away with their perfect record still intact. Rak-Sakyi is clearly a big talent but will be in for a tough afternoon in his professional debut, but these sorts of games can make players.
