Report: Spurs may pounce on transfer target as rivals remain indecisive

Reports suggest that Aaron Wan-Bissaka may be a possible transfer target for Mauricio Pochettino this summer.

The Argentine had a chance to observe the young English right-back two weeks ago when Spurs opened their brand new stadium against Crystal Palace.

The Tottenham Hotspur boss must have been far from disappointed after the 21-year-old put in a solid performance against the Lilywhites.

The transfer reports from the Evening Standard come after claims that Manchester United are ‘indecisive’ about the player in question.

According to The Sun, the Red Devils were in pole position to sign the defender who is valued at around £40 million.

However, the Independent suggests that United’s owners would prefer to go for Thomas Meunier who has more experience and is cheaper compared to his English counterpart.

This indecisiveness may give Tottenham the edge and lead to the player moving from west to north London.

Spurs Web Opinion:

Wan-Bissaka could be a great addition to Pochettino’s Lilywhites. As we’ve seen over the past five years, the Argentine loves to work with young English players and get the best out of them.

The Crystal Palace ‘wonder kid’ is only 21 years old. This means that the Tottenham manager would have plenty of time to develop and improve the player even further.

With Kieran Trippier’s performances not impressing many supporters, and Serge Aurier struggling with injuries and form, Wan-Bissaka could be an optimistic prospect as well as a gamble.

In his two years in Crystal Palace’s first team, the Croydon-born right-back featured in 39 games without scoring any goals.
