Report: Daniel Levy hatches ‘ingenious idea’ to bring fan favourite back to Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur fans will be dreaming of some big signings in the summer after their club has gone well over a year without bringing in any new faces.

The last incoming transfer was Lucas Moura from PSG way back in January 2018.

However, if the latest report is anything to go by, it could be a very happy summer of transfer activity for the North London side.

Many have been unhappy with the latest performances out of Christian Eriksen, and his future looks in doubt as he enters the final year of his contract.

Spurs may be forced to sell the playmaker for a profit come the summer, or use him as a bargaining chip.

Spanish national paper AS (via SportWitness) claim that Daniel Levy may do the latter, as he looks to use Real Madrid’s interest in Eriksen to sign Gareth Bale.

But there’s more! The ingenious part comes as the paper claims Levy will use Eriksen to get Bale on loan, with Madrid paying a hefty chunk of his wages.
