Report: Daniel Levy was close to agreeing Harry Kane sale to another club – Not Bayern Munich

The Telegraph report that Daniel Levy was close to agreeing a deal with PSG over the sale of Harry Kane this summer, despite heavy interest from Bayern Munich.

It is said that the striker himself was not interested in a move to the French capital, which complicated matters for Levy when searching for the best deal.

PSG want Kane but Harry does not want PSG

PSG are reportedly willing to outbid any club that comes in for Kane this summer, but they would also need a ‘major about-turn’ from the England captain.

Unfortunately, Levy has no choice but to negotiate a deal with Bayern Munich and Bayern Munich alone, or else risk losing his biggest asset on a free transfer in the summer of 2024.

RMC Sport also reported recently that PSG were showing interest in Kane, and that the striker used that interest to go back and renegotiate a better deal with Bayern.

This is said to have frustrated the Bundesliga outfit, who are not willing to pay more than €100m for the striker.

Spurs Web Opinion:

It’s a shame that Kane is not interested in PSG because I think Spurs would get a fair bit more money from the French club, as well as being able to annoy Bayern Munich.

However, I can see why Harry prefers the German giants as they are a well-run club and have a much better chance of winning the Champions League next season.
