Report: Danny Rose linked with move ahead of Friday deadline

Middlesbrough are rumoured to be interested in making a move for Danny Rose ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline, according to Football Insider.

The England international has been frozen out of the picture at Tottenham Hotspur and was not allocated a squad number for the Premier League campaign or named in Jose Mourinho’s 25-man team for the Europa League (Mirror).

Rose now faces the prospect of no game time until January if he decides to remain in North London and with England taking part in the Euro’s next summer, he faces a choice of what to do with his future.

The report claims that Tottenham were holding out for a £5million fee during the international transfer window which closed earlier this month but were unable to move the left-back on to pastures new.

A source has told Football Insider that Rose may now decide to drop down to the Championship.

The 30-year-old has plenty of experience of playing in the northeast having had previous loan spells with both Newcastle United and Sunderland.
