Report: Danny Rose set to depart after £2million deal is agreed

Tottenham Hotspur are reported to have agreed on a deal with Newcastle United to take Danny Rose on loan for the remainder of the season.

Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho had to recently deny press reports (Sky Sports) that he and Rose were involved in a heated exchange of words at the club’s Hotspur Way training ground after he was not included in the recent trip to Watford (Daily Mail).

Rose, who has eighteen months left on his contract in North London has previously spoken of his intention to run down his deal and leave on a free transfer after claiming to be informed by Daniel Levy that there are no fresh terms on offer to extend his stay with the Champions League finalists (Telegraph).

The Telegraph claim that Newcastle have agreed to pay a £2million fee to take the England international to St James Park for the remainder of the campaign.
