Report: ‘Deal in principle’ reached for Tottenham’s £9million man

Reports in Turkey claim that Besiktas have agreed a loan deal for Tottenham Hotspur winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou.

The 24-year-old was left out of Tottenham’s pre-season tour of Asia after being granted extra time off to explore a possible move away from the club along with Vincent Janssen and Danny Rose (Spurs official).

He came back into the squad for the Audi Cup tournament in Germany and came on as a second half substitute in the Premier League curtain raiser against Aston Villa in place of Erik Lamela for the last couple of minutes.

Turkish news outlet TRT Spor are reporting that an agreement in principle has been reached between both clubs.

Nkoudou has failed to make an impact in North London since his £9million move from Marseille in 2016 when he penned a five-year contract (BBC).

The winger has just two years left to run on his contract and his best chance of regular first team football appears to lie away from Spurs.

Mauricio Pochettino has a raft of attacking options at his disposal with the likes of Erik Lamela, Lucas Moura, Heung-min Son and Giovani Lo Celso all ahead of him in the pecking order.
